Visiting Dolumithl's Domain - Meeting Vyrasira - Part 2

"Prince Atriox, correct?" Vyrasira smiles, gesturing to the chair beside her for you to sit. "I heard the warriors speaking of your arrival. Not many come willingly into our territory."

Atriox waits for her to sit before he himself sits down.

“That is right my lady and I’d imagine not. Your father and his warriors leave little room for mercy. But there are so few of our kind now and we’re so spread out.....let us just say it was worth the risk.”

He looks at her more directly

“On multiple accounts. I intend to change those sad facts about our kind. It is time we rose again.”

Food is brought out before you, rare-cooked steaks of a meat that you're unfamiliar with. The smell of the blood is sweet and familiar though. On the side is a strange sausage and egg mixture, a reptilian tinge to it. Glasses are filled with a deep amber wine. You assume the drink to be a heady, lovely taste normally, but it smells rather ashy and plain to you now.

(You can make an investigation check or ask to find out more about the food)

"Quite right. Something our father has been working tirelessly to achieve. Ever since the fall of the old kingdoms, both in Arkoshia, here at the isles, and across the sea..."

Vyra takes a sip of her wine, her siblings chattering and discussing things amongst themselves as they eat.

"Ruling is in our blood, is it not?" She smiles and shows her bright teeth.

Atriox pushes the wine away carefully and sits back to look at her as they speak

“I couldn’t agree more....once we were united under one empire. But the humans feared and were jealous of us. They sought the help of demons to help crumble our strength. This time WILL be different, this time....I will be ready for them.”

He looks her over

“You sound as if you wish to play a role in our people’s future. What do you want ? More importantly what are you capable of ?”

"Capable?" Her smile quirks again. "What a testy way to start a conversation..."

She shifts, setting down her wine down so she can look at you better. She twirls the glass on the table in her claws... Definitely intrigued.

"Capable of making hard choices." She leans on her elbow, watching you. "Trained in war. Like everyone here is."

"I want to see a vast kingdom bloom beyond these boarders. What about you?"

Atriox chuckles at this game they are playing

“I want to see all Dragon Kind prosper again instead of being hunted. I want to restore my kingdom of Skyhold and then reestablish the Empire of Arkoshia and expand it’s borders ten fold. As for what I’m capable of........well let’s just say we all have our own monsters hiding beneath the surface.”

Atriox lets his red eyes shine through for a second and he feels the cracks on his face grow before he hides it all away again. Normally he wouldn’t dare try something like this but here he’s not to worried in a place of blood and war. He clears his throat and smiles again

“My monster is just lurking a little closer to the top than most. I think I also am able to make the tough decisions so I admire that.”

Vyrasira keeps her composure but you see a brief look of surprise pass over her face.

"You seem to have many surprises, prince Atriox."

A hinted smile comes to her face as she turns to eat a bite of meat. She acts as if it's of no consequence, but there is a charm in the air.

"Monsters, huh?" The younger red-toned brother grins, overhearing part of the conversation... but seeing nothing.

"What sort of beasts have you slain? Lands conquered? What else further outside of this sea?"

He looks utterly intrigued; likely not much traveled, though surely trained for war. It's new and exciting, full of daring and heroics.

Atriox chuckles and looks to the younger brother

“My my aren’t you curious. I’ve hunted many things, fought my own fair share of battles.”

Atriox leans forwards and begins to speak in the dramatic tones involved in story telling. He wants to impress this youngling

“I’ve fought and killed a member of the elusive and dangerous changelings at the near cost of my own life, I’ve tamed legions of our smaller brethren the Kobolds, fought Necromancers and they’re gigantic flesh golem. I mustered my forces and decimated a orc army. I explored the mysterious desert dunes of the Komodori and plundered it’s ancient treasures and befriended the treasures guardian......a sand dragon ! I fell from a canyon with a giant spider like irlguant and battled it to the death through the air. I even battled and killed with my friends the mad white dragon Tyranus high up in her icy mountain top home.”

The whole way through he does his best to be a good story teller and make dramatic hand gestures at times (Charisma 17+5=22)

After his story’s are over he leans back and takes a breath

“Even as we speak my kingdom is growing in the continent of Baralona from the port of Dragonshore which I have taken complete control of. So what do you think young one ?”

Atriox spreads his hands out in a let me have it type of way

The brother wasn't the only one enraptured during the story. Slowly the rest of the table quieted and listened to the dramatic adventures, drawn into the tale you expertly wove. Vyra sipped at her wine the entire time, rather taken with it all.

"You're an AMAZING warrior!" The young red dragonborn laughs, clapping you on the arm.

He's all smiles, every tooth showing in his mouth. During the course of the conversation you find out his name is Vance. His blue-red brother, Kybirus, smiles quietly and shakes his head as if amused with it all. Of the two of them, he's probably at least seen real battle.

The other females, Vyra's younger siblings, look utterly taken by it all and whisper to one another about you. The smallest, a red-orange dragonborn, is named Garnette. The slightly older two, red with green markings, look very similar--perhaps direct siblings--and are named Harah and Malen.

Vyrasira's tail lazily sways beside her in her seat as she watches you entertain her various half-siblings. The two brothers have taken to jumping from the table to spar, delighting their sisters. She smiles.

"Seems you've stared death in the face many times for someone so young... Tough decisions indeed. You surely sound like one of our clan, Prince Atriox."

Atriox grunts with a smile and blows some smoke. He bows his head in slight respect from what she means to be a compliment surely

“Indeed I may have earned my warriors reputation but to be honest I would not say my over all mindset and beliefs belong with this place. But that is fine, everywhere is different. That’s why there’s a whole world out there.”

He leans back and relaxes in his chair. He points to her food

“How’s the meal ? It looks delicious.........”
at the last part he’s not even looking at the food, but at her. Eyeing her whole body before meeting her eyes

Vyra doesn't seem unused to this, but acts coy nonetheless. She waves her hand, gesturing to the half-eaten food but not avoiding Atriox's gaze.

"Flavorful. Matured. Exotic. Surely something delectable after such a long journey at sea, I imagine." A smirk plays at her lips. "But I see you have yet to touch yours, so..."

With purposeful intent she takes another sip of her wine, allowing the conversation to hang in the air.

Atrioxs lips twitch with amusement and pleasure as he holds her eyes with his own

“As delicious as it looks I’m afraid due to......certain thing’s.....”

Atriox flares his eyes for a brief second again

“Normal food would taste like ash in my mouth. It’s a sad fact. I miss eating all the amazing different foods the world has to offer. But now I gain sustenance from something else. Perhaps a bit later if your so inclined and bold enough you can come find out.”

He stands and bows to them all respectfully and takes Vyras hand and gives it another kiss

“Until west meet again my lady. I doubt I will ever forget this night and whatever it brings.”

As he begins to walk away he stops by where the boys are fighting

“Vance and Kybirus wasn’t it ? I’ve enjoyed meeting you two. Your father should be proud to have such fine sons but if you ever tire of here or need something new and fresh there will always be a welcoming place for you in the halls of Skyhold.”

He nods to the two once more and heads back to his room

(Niiiiice. Very regal rp XD I liked it)

(Hm... I need a little chance at play here. Roll 3 d100s for me, and tell me the individual numbers. 1 = Vyra, 2 = Vance, 3 = Kybirus. It'll change the outcome of those relationships)

(100 78 and 73)

The servant stands as you enter, the room just as airy and indulgently relaxing as ever. Out the open windows the breeze blows in the smell of rain. It was definitely a safe move to moor the ships this evening.

In the distance you can hear revelry and partying, tribal music and drums. The roaring of beasts can barely be heard in the din, sounds of pit fighting, feats of strength and violence, and much food... Despite the poor weather. This people is hardy enough not to mind something so trivial.

"Do you require anything, sir?" The man watches you, starting in draconic but correcting himself and speaking in common.

Atriox chuckles. The poor man knows not what is coming but it’ll be a mercy for him. That is Atrioxs small comfort

He heads over to the hookah to take a few puffs while looking at the man before speaking

“No sit, relax, while you can.”

Inhaling on the brass mouthpiece, the smoky aroma entering your lungs and nose swims with a relaxing taste of licorice. It's calming and peaceful, and a treat to taste something other than blood.

The slave hesitates before sitting again like you bade him. He looks a little relieved and studies a spot on the floor, leaving you be until you have need of his service.

The time passes slowly. Sounds of the crowds outside dwindle into smaller parties as you watch from your small balcony. The smell of blood wafts up from below in the market; a mix of animal and human, among other things you can't distinguish. It's surely a stronger narcotic than the hooka you've been puffing at, and makes you salivate. The smoke calms you...only sightly.

You hear the slave stand again in a fluid, quick movement as claws tap on the tile outside the room. Silk rustles along behind like an echo.

"Enjoying the nightlife from afar, foreign prince?"

Vyrasira smiles from the archway before sauntering in to the room. Her bored expression passes over the furniture and fauna as she makes her way toward you. Approaching to a comfortable distance, the princess dragonborn leans up against the wall, staring outside and coyly avoiding your eyes.

Atriox grunts and looks at her

“Ohhhh not really. Just waiting for a certain princess to make an appearance. I was wondering if perhaps I’d be shown up.”

Her eyes crinkle with amusement. She finally glances your way.

"I suppose I found you a little too intriguing to stay away from long. Especially with you departing in the morning."

Atriox walks slowly torwards her

“ Indeed....I myself also find you very intriguing. I’m curious to see what you are capable of, what your capable of withstanding. That your beautiful is obvious and I’m sure you hear it often but it’s not what I’m most interested in.”

He finishes his approach to her inhales her scent. His eyes go slightly red as he says

“ I’m absolutely famished and you smell delicious.......”
Atriox lowers his voice
“But the slave will have to do for now.”

(Oh snap.... lol)

(😂😂😂)

She tilts her head with mild surprise, her gold eyes glinting brighter than her horns. Her nostrils flare in curiosity as she senses the danger in your voice.

The human in the corner doesn't seem to have noticed at all. Your voices are low enough, far away enough, and he is actively trying to mind his business with the two of you conversing.

Atriox walks over to the man and looks at him kindly

“What is your name ? Do you have a family ?”

He looks up, glancing between you and Vyrasira. He's uncertain if he should speak to you in common or not in front of her, but swallows his fear. Repeating his answer from earlier, he says, "Dokaal."

Vyra finds a seat, reclining back as she watches this interesting scene play out. She comments warmly, "All of the servants use that name. They have no name other than human."

Dokaal nods, wishing he could avoid the other question. "In all honestly I have none to call family. My last living brother was sacrificed to the great temple this morning."

He clears his throat. "Though perhaps another Dokaal and I can make a new one." There's a look on his face like he has someone in mind, perhaps a sweetheart.

Atriox nods apprehensively with sad eyes

“I see......well that’s nice. I’m glad you have somebody in your life. Now listen and look into my eyes please”

(Atriox casts enthrall on the human servant)

(Rolled a 3 against it lollll)

He looks up obediently, his gray eyes glazing over almost instantly.

Atriox see’s that it worked and whispers

“You’ll be ok.....I hope”

After that Atriox picks up the mans arm and bites into as gently as he can while still piercing what he needs to. He braces for the transformation and feels his body split with cracks and his eyes go red as he feeds

The man stiffens and inhales. His eyes remain glazed and distant as you feed on his blood, the sustenance running through your teeth and over your tongue. It's as intoxicating as ever, making your head swim.

(Roll a wisdom save with advantage)

(13+3)

You feel the pulse weaken in his arm as the splits and cracks in your body fade back into healthy scales. Fully in control, you can tell now would be a good time to let go if you wished him to live--as reluctant as your teeth are to part with the last of the euphoria.

The princess remains where she is, watching. Waiting. Interested and almost... Amused, it seems. She does not attempt to intervene or interrupt your feast.

Atrioxs lets the man slump to the ground and stands licking his lips as he heads torwards his guest

“I’m glad you’re amused I suppose. Not everyone can stand to see such things.....though that was gentle compared to what I have done before.”

He stops somewhat in front of her looking down at the princess

Vyra slowly takes your refreshed physique in, her claws caressing  the arm of the recliner. A smile grows.

Standing with a fitting elegance, she gracefully circles around you. "You are... More than a dragonborn, I see. Not that I haven't seen my own kind feed on flesh and blood, but..."

She reaches up, wiping a spare drop of blood from your lips. She licks her thumb. "That was unique."

Atriox chuckles under his breath at her coy games

“My my you are tenacious and I’ll take that as a compliment. Now then what should we talk about ? I think we can both agree that we’re very curious people and with enough in common to bridge any gap there may be. I’d like to get to know a bit about you before the dawn.”

He motions back towards the sitting area and begins to talk with her late into the night
(Skipa to next mornin)

The next morning dawns quickly, horns and bugles sounding from the bay. The storm has passed with only mild damage. A tired, damp breeze and spotty clouds are all that remains.

Vyrasira departed not long before the sun arrived, the conversation having continued for hours. She left you with a kiss on your cheek and the smell of her lingering perfume.
