Atriox grunts remembering the fight
"As I told her.........nothing or anyone will stand in the way of my dream. I will rise again and again to see it done. Whether that be alive or dead I don't care. Where is this......Dorokor, I'm itching for a rematch."
Laughter echoes through the trees. The scarred orc steps right up in front of you, exhaling a strong breath into your face.
He extends a hand.
"I'm Gogron the Slain. We don't like Dorokor. And we want to witness this rematch."
Atriox looks at the hand and then back at the orc
"Why should I trust you ? You say you dislike her but I know not why."
He sneers. "She a woman. Trying to lead us. We don't like it." Other voices chime up behind him, some in common and others in orcish.
"She think she smart!"
"Learned!"
"We don't like that!"
More orcs press in, some with arms folded. Others with weapons drawn.
"She has magic in her blood."
"Don't trust it."
"Even with our brothers she could not kill you!"
"Stronger than her."
"Brutal, like us."
Atriox ponders all of the words he is hearing. He doesn't entirely trust these orcs but he needs bodys for the battle
He reluctantly shakes the orcs hand
"Betray me or fail to obey me and you will join your brothers here that died here. I hope I'm understood."
They all chuckle and sneer. Gogron speaks. "Understood, dragon man."
Atriox looks very serious
"Now tell me of the wizard, Oxious. Is he alright ? Where is he ?"
He looks unconcerned. "He was alive when we left him. Dorokor has been moving troops and prisoners. We didn't deal with them much."
He points up in the mountains. "Dark magic up in there. Doesn't sit well with us."
He scratches his cheek. "There are about... 82 of us here. But hundreds more than that patrolling."
Atriox thinks for a minute......a plan sprouting into place. He gets a determined smile on his face.
"Did you officially leave or did you just literally walk out and not look back ?"
He eyes you strangely. "We walked out. If we announced, we'd be slaughtered. We're not suicidal."
Atrioxs smile grows
"That's good ! We need to get Oxious out of there. Tonight! Now I'm thinking we fake it like you captured me. Obviously I would have killed some of you so we will leave some of the men here. With my horse and armor........(he pauses and looks at them sternly) you best not mess with that armor. It was a gift and its highly valued. Now I'll need to look a little beaten up......."
He looks at the leader
Gogron gets an evil smile. "If you really want to do this... Suppose we can oblige." He cracks his knuckles.
He pulls his fist back and slams it straight into your nose.
It feels like a lightning strike. Your head splits from the pain. You're sure he broke a few teeth with that... and possibly broke your nose. Blood pours from your snout and you back up, coughing blood and trying to breathe through your mouth.
The orcs standing around cheer with excitement and rage. He stalks forward, winding up an uppercut. His knuckles impact your solar plexus, and even through your armor knock the wind out of you.
Buckling and gasping for breath, he grabs one of your horns and slams you to the side into his knee. The healing wounds from Tyranus ache horribly.
You fall to the ground and he kicks you in the stomach with his boot. Your vision grows dark, and then... Red.
He notices the gleam in your eye and backs up a pace. There is a pulsing of blood in your head. You can hear his heartbeat somehow. It doesn't sound like your own.
Your teeth flood with your own blood and it tastes delicious. You crave to fight back.
(Make a wisdom saving throw)
(13)
You barely withstand the bloodlust clouding your mind. It aches, making your muscles cramp and your head spin.
You pant, blood dripping from your maw. Almost unconsciously you unlatch your bone armor and let it fall to the ground. Then you shrug off most of the rest of your armor, leaving your bloody clothes on.
The orcs seem impressed by your resilience. Gogron cracks his knuckles again and flexes his fingers. "How's that?"
Atriox looks himself over while trying to regain normal breathing patterns. He looks a Gogron
"A little to accurate for my taste but it's fine luckily I grow teeth back. Other wise I'd be ripping one of your tusks out right now. Now once we get close you need to act like you took me prisoner. Get me to Oxious."
He sneers. "Heh. I don't half ass things."
Gogron turns and signals the men. About twenty file forward, and the rest move about to position themselves here.
One orc, smaller than the others, rushes up with some rope. He ties your hands loosely in front of you snickering the entire time.
Atriox growls at the smaller orc then looks at Gogron
"Your enjoying this far to much........ come let's go. Were losing moonlight."
@Aubrey Burmaster
The group of white tusk orcs leads you through the forest, up some winding trails and into the foothills of the mountains. The march is arduous and your body aches. You feel your face swollen with a broken nose and massive bruises.
It takes a few hours marching before you break through the tree line. Gogron looks confident but a few of the others seem nervous. Every so often you pass the burned husks of long abandoned buildings.
Some horns sound in the foothills. A group of orcs walk out from hiding, some with yellow eyes and others with red. The leader has a large hook through his lip and metal plates fused to his arms. "GOGRON! Ega okak der?!"
Gogron tugs the rope leading you making you stumble forward. "Grummsh, Shegga!" He sneers, pulling one of your horns down and making you bow. "Priukonas avhe riavualuk, avhe Dorokor."
The other orc captain seems to consider it, his smile growing and showing more pointed fangs. "Pah! Thrak naj-ri." He turns with a rude gesture and leads you all forward into the ruined city of White Birch.
Atriox looks around at the ruined city trying to find out as much as he can while they walk
(Investigation 20 rawwwwww boyyyy)
@Aubrey Burmaster You see orcs. Hundreds of orcs. Close to a thousand. They work carrying large metal beams from a forge, hammering and sharpening weapons, and strapping plate armor together for soldiers. It looks like they plan to move soon. Very soon.
@Aubrey Burmaster You have arrived at White Birch Ruins. Groups of skeletons are patrolling mindlessly along the edge and through the pass up ahead, ignored by the orcs going about their work. Noise, hammering, grunts and yells fill the air. It's a wonder that the town below in the valley cannot hear the din of noise.
You are walking along the main road, a canyon of sorts, among the skeletal remains of the town of White Birch. There is a row of collapsed buildings on either side of you leading to the fortress a little further in the distance.
The landscape is very dark. The moonlight casts long dark shadows across your path. You see a few talon shaped columns of obsidian rock jutting out of the ground, in and around the town ruins. Crude huts have been constructed in and around the ruined buildings.
@Aubrey Burmaster The other strange orc commander grunts, a sour laugh in his throat. "Garuk Dorokor. Harash nazul ka! HA!" He slaps Gogron on the back and leaves with his men. The others that came with you mill about doing their work, blending back in to the crowd. You can't tell one orc from the other with how many are pushing past. Who is a friend and who is a foe.
Gogron shoves you inside, nodding with his head to one of the cell doors. He shoves you in. It appears to have once been a small jail house many, many years ago. He places a lock on the door but does not latch it. With a grunt, he steps outside to guard the building.

@Aubrey Burmaster "Mrrrmm!" You hear a mumbling coming from another area a few cells down. Approaching the bars of your own cell you see a tiefling in tattered, dirty clothes, struggling against ropes and a gag in his mouth.
When he sees you his eyes widen in alarm. He looks frantic. Terrified. Dirt and tears stain his face.
You notice you're both alone in this jail, the other cells empty. A few appear to be recently so, with smatterings of blood and urine on the walls. Near the door hangs a set of rusted keys.
Atriox quietly opens his cell door and goes over to Oxious's cell. He looks at it trying to figure out how he should free him
(Perception 15)
Atriox has to admit to himself that his abit nervous. He goes and gets the keys to open the cell. Once in he motions for Oxious to be quite before removing the gag and untying him
When he's untied Oxious almost can't stand or move properly. He looks utterly exhausted, as if he hasn't slept. The circulation slowly comes back to his limbs. Rope burns are bloodily visible on his wrists and ankles, his shoes gone off his cloven feet. He breaks down in frantic whispers, holding his head as he tries to breathe.
"T-they made me--made me--! Forced me to! Told me those who didn't help were punished. I-- W-Willow-- they--" He covers his ears as if trying to block out some horrid sound or memory. "Either because she didn't comply or because I refused to at f-first--they--she--" his voice cracks.
Atriox grabs Oxious hand gently
"Oxious it's ok we are going to get you out of here. Tell me what happened to willow.....where is she ? I thought the "Taker" had her...."
His hand shakes as he grips yours. He can't seem to speak for a minute. "I--I thought you were dead. I-I didn't think anyone would--" His eyes stare into yours. You see a man who in just a day or so has been broken.
Oxious looks disgusted and ashamed. "I woke up here. W-Willow WAS here, but--" his voice breaks. "She wasn't doing well, and then a fellow with a--a--" He can't seem to describe it but motions to his face, tracing a scar up his cheek. "He came to take her away. I could h-hear her outside--"
He shudders. "I thought if I complied she might be... be okay. They wouldn't tell me, but I--I think I already know." You can tell from the look on his face he believes her to be dead.
"I've doomed that town... That whole stupid town. T-they threatened me, made me cast enchantments--illusions--m-mind altering spells... Some from a book that were horridly vile. Both to their soldiers and to... to other prisoners... T-they took my staff whenever I collapsed and could do no more, and put me back in--in here."
Atriox takes this all in and nods
"Itll be ok Oxious I promise. Now stay here really quick while I work on our escape plan."
Atriox quietly goes to the jail door and gets Gogrons attention
Gogron grunts, listening. He keeps his eyes on everything moving outside.
Atriox talked a quietly as he can but makes sure the orc can hear him
"We need to get out of here. Discreetly go around to your boys and tell them to start anything they can on fire. Do it secretly if you can I dont wan them to catch on to you and your boys. Once it's done tell your men to get to the clearing in the woods. Bring me a weapon if you can. Remember dont rush this if you cam help it. Make it look like an accident."
You see Gogron step away from the door. He walks several yards away to relieve himself. Watching. Waiting. He looks around with a sneer, then wanders off out of sight.
Atriox goes over to Oxious
"Can you walk ? Were getting out of here my freind. We're going to get you home and save the town"
@Aubrey Burmaster Oxious tries to stop himself from shaking. He stands, a little unsteadily. "I-I think so. Can we actually get out of here? I... won't be of any help without a magic focus like my staff of a wand..." He looks utterly pitiful, nothing like his normal self.
You hear a noise outside the door and see a two handed sword set next to it. There's a bit of a commotion a ways off, and you see many orcs rushing past to go help with something.
Atriox grabs the sword quickly and ducks back inside. He holds a hand up to Oxious
" all you have to do is run my freind I will cover you. Get to the clearing were we killed those orcs. My horse will be there.......along with the orcs that joined our side ......."
Atriox looks outside to make sure that it's clear and tells Oxious to run
@Aubrey Burmaster There is an intense explosion up the hill. You feel the ground shake beneath you. Oxious bolts out the door. You head right behind him and hear screaming and shouting. Then another explosion.
BOOM!
You can see fire roaring up the side of the mountain, several buildings on fire. Orcs are scrambling to put out the flames and some are engaged in combat with others. Something must have gone wrong, as you watch ally after ally cut down around you.
You run.
(17) Oxious is up ahead of you and you see an orc making straight for him, he lowers his head and rushes even faster, his cloven hooves fast against the hard packed dirt. You aren't sure where this burst of strength came from but he makes it past the orc, the enemy hot on his heels.
Another orc rushes for you, flanked by two skeletons.
(Roll a d20 for me. 1-9 is fail, 10-20 is success)
Atriox throws the two handed sword at the back of the orc whose chasing Oxious. As Atriox gets to the dead orc who's face down in the mud. He pulls his sword out and looks around. All he see's is his men dying. Yes he hasn't know these orcs long but they chose to fight for him and that comes with a responsibility. Atriox failed them when he led them to certain death to seek a personal goal instead if being a leader. He put one mans life above his men's. He felt a heavy shame settle upon him and he knew he had to fix it somehow.......... he gets a sad but determined look and yells to Oxious at the top of his lungs
"Keep running! Get to the clearing! I'll buy you some time ! "
Atriox sees Gogron nearby as he finishes slaughtering his opponent. He points to Oxious back and yells
"Get him out of here ! Get the rest of your men to Dragonshore and tell them I sent you. Oxious should vouch for you."
Atriox then turns his back on the exit and raises his sword as he moves torwards the orc and two undead skeletons
Gogron grunts, slicing the head off of his nearest opponent with his broadsword. He backs away and rushes after the tiefling, the fire keeping the bulk of the troops occupied.
(5 fail) The orc and skeletons rushing you raise their weapons. (Go for it! Rp what you do :3 )
Oxious runs as quickly as he can, wheezing as he struggles to catch his breath. He doesn't dare look back, but hears the heavy footfalls of an orc following him. Bursting through the tree line at the bottom of the hills, his lungs burn. His muscles ache.
He crashes into a group of orcs and kobolds watching from the treeline, grabbing a hold of him until Gogron arrives, an imposing shadow against the moon. The tiefling's eyes grow wide...
(That's a flavor fade to black scene... just cause I wanted to add it.. lol......... no details after that til later)
Atriox dodges the orc and moves to one of the undead . Raising his sword with a growl he cuts the skeleton into pieces with a downward diagonal cut through its body. As he's distracted with that skeleton the other advances and manages to land a cut on his side before Atriox cuts the head of of this one. In no time the orc that was with them is bearing down on Atriox, savagely striking blow after blow. Atriox has to actually defend himself carefully as the orc is no push over. In the end Atriox gets an opening and kills the orc by stabbing him in am exact spot in which the blade pierces the heart and severs the spinal cord in one blow.....but not before said orc puts a nasty gash in Atrioxs thigh.
The villain slides off your blade with a sickening gush of blood. A flood of orcs pours down the path, one after another rushing upon you. (19) They push you back, blow after blow, knocking back your sword and smashing against what little armor you have. Cutting into your hide, smashing your scales. Your eyes glow shadowy and red, the black and crimson swirling in an angry bloodbath.
@Aubrey Burmaster Your body pulses with energy, as if snakes roil below your skin. It burns horridly. Intoxicatingly. Your teeth grow longer, turning red with blood. Your white scales dry out, splitting--cracking--black tendrils of magic etch their way over your body. Red pupils glow hot in your eyes.
You feel a surge of power you've never experienced before. You don't even notice the pain of your injuries, the blood loss from your wounds. You cut through the forces swarming you like insects. Your sword, your claws, your teeth, ripping and tearing at them.
You are a wolf among sheep. Every mouthful of flesh, every drop of blood on your deathly white tongue send shivers of ecstasy through your body.
A hand grabs you roughly by the face and throws you a good twenty feet. As you impact the ground your vision clears almost instantly. The red mist is gone, the shadows break apart. You immediately feel every ache, every injury, return ten fold.
The orcs dare not rush you. They stand around in a circle. almost a hundred deep on each side. Oppressive. Angry. Some lick the blood off their swords; the blood of the traitors that turned their backs on their own clan.
You see stars burst in your vision as you struggle to keep a clear head. You can hardly move. Your body is in shock... What just happened? What came over you? The residual blood in your mouth tastes sweeter than honey. Sweeter than the finest food. Sweeter than women. You can't fathom what this new sensation is--both mortifying and enthralling.
A familiar individual stalks forward, her hips swaying. Dragging an axe behind her along the ground, it sends sparks up as it clicks against the gravel and rocks.
Dorokor.
A smile grows on her face, showing off her pointed fangs and tusks. Her eyes gleam, the moonlight stark behind her figure and casting her into shadow.
"Well, well, well... Looks like a whelp has returned to me. How entertaining... I thought I bled you dry." She bends down, grabbing your bottom jaw roughly in her hand. She forces you to look up at her, gauging how much life is left in you.
Atriox looks into her eyes looking helpless for a few more second before he all 9f the sudden begins growling. Atriox uses his remaining strength to headbutt the cheiftes In the face
The orcs stare in shock at the gumption of this prisoner. Dorokor blinks in surprise, her nose bleeding slightly from the impact.
She laughs.
"My, my..." Taking her thumb she swipes at the blood on her face, looking at it. "You are quite the killer, aren't you? Made a show in the forest too... You seem to enjoy theatrics."
She caresses your face with her bloody hand and you can smell--taste, even--her blood. It makes your eyes glow.
She stands, dropping your face into the dirt again as she walks away. Dorokor motions to a few of the orcs to pick you up.
"Bring him to my quarters. I wish to get information out of him before the Master takes him."
Atriox trys to struggle even though its pointless. He trys everything he can. He roars and bites, claws and slashes, but at the end of the day he's far out numbered in a hopeless fight
You're carried further down the road, past more husks of ancient buildings. You see the remains of fire--it looks like a small explosion--that the orcs were able to create. It set back quite a bit of the preparations the army was making. Their sacrifice was not in vain, but the sight of their unmoving bodies being dragged away is difficult to watch.
You are taken into a more stable building, decorated with quite a lot of bones and fine furs. Tied roughly with ropes, you are hung up like a steer for slaughter, your tied wrists slung over a meat hook on the ceiling.
They leave you. You see glowing red eyes gleam through the darkness. Dorokor approaches you, wiping her hands on a clean cloth.
"Hello again."
@Aubrey Burmaster
Atriox growls at her approach. It's the only thing he can do. He's not going to waist energy when he's hanging like this....
" Dorokor......... the Orc cheiftes. I wondered if we'd meet again. I figured it'd be on the field but you never know really do you ? So what now.........( Atriox pauses before continuing catching his breath and hissing a little) ..........threaten,torture, kill me ? I wont give you any information."
"Oh? You won't? That's a pity..." She shrugs, snapping her fingers. An orc approaches through an open door carrying a small box. He withdraws a necklace radiating a strange, holy magic. It looks like one of the symbols of Pelor, something you've seen in Petvin's office.
"Where are the other troops of mine that have fled? Are they down in that clearing you were shouting about? Where we fought last?"
Atriox grunts not thoroughly impressed
"perhaps they are.....perhaps they're not. I dont know and I don't really care. That's not my problem now Kor."
A smile grows on her lips. "It will be your problem soon."
She motions for the orc. He approaches and loops the pendant around your neck.
As soon as the symbol touches your skin it burns horridly. The sensation is exactly like that of the vial of glowing liquid from Drovin's cabin. Your eyes melt to blackness, red spots flooding your vision. You hear a screaming in your head, ringing in your ears. You can't tell if it is your own or someone else's.
After what feels like an eternity of pain, it stops. The necklace is back in the orc's hands, and Dorokor's face floods into view. She looks like she is rather enjoying this.
"Always a shock what affects us when the changes start. Wouldn't you say so, dragonborn?"
She leans forward, stroking the burn mark on your chest from the symbol. Your body is drenched in sweat.
"I'll ask again. Where are the others?"
Atriox takes a moment to regain his composure and looks her straight in the face
"Never Kora. I will die before I give up my soldiers. As any leader should do......although I dont know if you would."
Her eyes narrow. You seem to have hit a nerve. She circles around you.
"Let's try a different question then. Who are you? And what is Dragonshore to you?"
Atriox chuckles despite the pain and winks at the female orc trying to throw her off balance
"If you want to know about me all you had to do is ask. How about you loose the help, and the me hanging bit and we'll talk."
(Persuasion 17)
Dorokor raises an eyebrow. She looks at the other orc and gestures with her chin. He nods, taking the amulet with him as he leaves.
"I'm fond of my food resting before I enjoy. Makes the blood flow a bit more steady when I drain you." She gives you a small shove, causing you to rock on the hook.
Atriox chuckles some more and raises and eyebrow in cockiness
"Back to being on the menu am I ? Cant blame you. I'm sure I'm absolutely to die for taste wise. But it didn't exactly go the way you planned last time did it ? It's not your fault. I'm not called the Unbroken for nothing now."
She sneers, baring her fangs at you. "Is that so? I haven't met anyone I couldn't break. Eventually."
Dorokor paces for a minute and then stops. "Tell me about yourself. The nicer you play, the nicer I play."
He finds her new position intriguing on the matter. He takes a moment to look her over for the first time other than an enemy. She's beautiful......in that scary orcish way that says "I'll kill you if you make me angry" sorta way. He thinks about what to say for a second and then decides. He grunts
"Theres only one way I'm willing to ever break for you Kora. (He says with amusement still trying to throw her off a bit) So you want to know about me ? Your Necromancer boss didnt tell you after I split his face open ?"
She looks you over, a bit disgusted at the offer. "Not what I asked you, dragonborn."
She turns away, picking up her axe. Running a thumb across the blade, the metal gleams a crimson glow. Dorokor debates for a minute, considering talking to relax you. "He has mentioned little. He has merely coordinated our efforts as hired blades... aside from that--"
Dorokor turns back to look at you. "--Only mentioned a white dragonborn to me when I commented on fighting one in my report. He was rather irritated... seems like he wished to corner you himself."
"So why don't you start talking... before I get a little antsy?"
Atriox narrows his eyes abit at her
"The whisper of a threat is still a threat. And I'd imagine the Necromancer would want a rematch after I remodeled his face with my glaive. As to who I am Kora ? I see that your curiosity must be sated. Very well.......I am Atriox the Unbroken. Prince of the Kingdom of Skyhold. It was attacked years ago. You also asked what's my interest in Dragonshore ? Its potential. Its potential to be a mighty port city. My parents were happy just ruling over there island kingdom. Not me. I'm building the start of an Empire. Dragonshore has pledged itself to me and my cause. To be my first additional territory you see."
Dorokor runs her thumb along the axe again as she contemplates your words. She seems satisfied that you are sharing the truth.
"I see... Mighty titles indeed. You do have some interesting spirit about you." She looks into your eyes. "What is the shadow that came over you? During the slaughter earlier?"
Atriox ponders the question as he doesn't know the answer
"I'm not really sure.........I've been a little busy as you can see. Plus you captured the man that I would have gone to ask about it. All I know is its saved me from death before. I bet your Necromancer freind knows something about it. When he learned who I was he was awfully interested."
"Quite." Her eyes narrow again. She swings her axe around and brings it up to rest on her shoulder. "Your cooperation is most appreciated. Why don't you... hang around a while."
She heads out the door without a backward glance. The door closes quite soundly behind her and you hear a "click" as it is locked.
Atriox hangs there for a bit looking around at the room and the things in it.
(Investigation 13)
You see a very simple room--it looks like it used to be a smoke house once upon a time. Rocks have crumbled away leaving much of the earth beneath exposed. Much of the masonry has cracks and dead plant matter spilling out. The furs and bone decor add very little warmth to this strange place, and the booming war drums outside are quite distracting.
You hear a distant scraping sound. Your ears prick at the noise, but with how much is going on outside you aren't quite sure if you're hearing things.
Some time passes. Your arms have long fallen asleep and you've listened to the steady dripping of blood for quite a while. There's a small pool under you where the runoff has started to collect.
The door opens again. Dorokor smiles when she sees you. "Still here I see. Aren't you a patient house guest." Closing it again, she walks toward you. There's a bottle in her hand, cloudy and full of a dark red liquid."
"I gave my report. Seems our mutual friend is occupied at the moment, but he gave me leave to entertain you longer. At least before I am called away to raze a city." Her sneer grows. "He'll be by shortly though... and he wants you in peak condition for his visit.... I'm here to heal you." She swirls the bottle, the sloshing sound both mouthwatering and disturbing.
Atriox nods
"Your curiosity may be sated by mine is far from it. So for now........I'll hang about. Come kora tell me of yourself. I would like to know more about the Beautiful Orc Cheiftes vampire..........impressive titles as well. It doesn't really matter what you tell me as I wont be leaving here alive."
He motions to the blood
"Who's blood is that then ?"
@Aubrey Burmaster "Does it matter?" Her smile grows, trying to ignore your overt attempts at flattery. She holds the bottle to your lips.
Atriox moves his head to the side
"Actually......it does. Call me a little high and mighty but I'd rather have it from the source. Especially when there's a source so beautiful as you Kora. Come now.......I dont need much. Besides my bite wont be a full on assault......unlike yours."
(Persuasion 15)
@Aubrey Burmaster (4 counter, fail) "From a source, huh? Let's just say it was a very beautiful human... I'm not one for gathering names of my cattle. I honestly don't know. As for me..." her eyes glow fierce. "You'd need to be untied for that. And I don't fancy that yet."
She smiles, retrieving an ornate goblet from a nearby chest. She pours the bottle into it, the crimson liquid flowing smoothly.
Dorokor gives it a swirl then takes a drink. She looks relaxed and calmed. "Come now, Unbroken One." She takes another drink ad she walks toward Atriox. Grabbing his jaw in her hand she presses her lips to his, forcing him--encouraging him--to drink it from a kiss.
Atrioxs kisses the orc back. Rather deeply in a needing way. Though he doesn't know if it's more for the kiss or the blood........the realization slightly disturbes him.
You feel the honey-like blood trickle down your throat. You feel reinvigorated, your wounds hurting less the longer you maintain contact.
She pulls away. "Did I break you?" She chuckles, wiping stray blood from her lips. "It heals you now. You can't be picky what you use sometimes." She sits back with the goblet.
Atriox uses his long tongue to lick the last drops of blood
"I'll remember that in the future. You didn't tell me about yourself but I'll let it go.......for now. What a shame that fate has us on opposite sides. Though you are a Mercenary. Makes you pretty flexible I suppose."
"It does." Dorokor stands draining the rest of the blood with a smack of her lips. "Pity... You would make an excellent addition to my clan."
She takes the empty bottle, leaving to fetch the necromancer.
@Aubrey Burmaster You hear a noise again. It sounds like a mouse. Digging. Burrowing against the walls.
Bfffff!
A whole section of dirt caves in about 10 feet from where you hang. The tunnel is a few feet tall and oerhaps two and a half feet wide. Through the dust you see glowing eyes and glimmering white teeth. A small troop of several kobolds skitter in, securing the room and barring the door.
Tepid comes out, brushing off dirt and rock from his metal digging claws. "Troublesome..."
A kobold clammers up your body like a tree, a knife clamped in his teeth. When he reaches your hands he saws at the ropes until they snap.
You fall half a foot to the floor.
Atriox looks around the room for paper and something to write with. Though shes an orc warrior shes also a cheiftes, surely she writes sometimes. He finds what he's looking for and begins to write fast.
(Kora. Obviously I'm gone. I wasn't just going to stick around for that worm of a Necromancer, I'm sure you understand. As far as being a captive and hanging from the ceiling goes it was rather a very pleasurable experience. One last time Kora.........I beseech you, dont make me fight you. Not on the field not anywhere. Work with me. I hope I dont see you in the fight but if I do....... well good luck even though you don't need it. I'm sure i will lose. Bye Kora.)
(Persuasion 11)
Atriox hooks the note from where he was hanging and looks to his kobolds
"Good work boys! Very good work. Leys go home shall we ?"
@Aubrey Burmaster Tepid nods and turns, waving his claw in the air. "Wrap up kin, let's go." He looks up at Atriox. "You'll need to crawl but with enough speed, we can get to the back side of the mountain. Get to the other scouts below. Orcs there told us what was going on. Got some goat man with them."
(@Aubrey Burmaster I'll want you to make an athletics check to see how quickly you can get through these tunnels before you're discovered... skill challenge for you. And challenge coming up for the other 3... buckle up! XD)

(Nice....Success #1)
@Aubrey Burmaster You drop down on all fours and follow the kobolds through the tunnels with nimble ease. Your eyes adjust to the darkness, seeing shades of black and white against the glow of your eyes. As terrifying as escaping from an army is, there's something nostalgic about this... being surrounded by kobolds, climbing through tunnels... It reminds you of your childhood.

(Acrobatics 13)
@Aubrey Burmaster You squeeze past a tighter space where the rock was a little too hard to tunnel past. Thankfully you don't have your armor on, which makes this task a lot easier.
The kobolds push at your back and tug at your arms, urging you on as fast as they're able. You can hear a banging sound from behind you, way further up in the tunnels. Orcs are trying to break down the barred door.

@Aubrey Burmaster A huge tremor shakes the earth. You hear a blast from up above, and realize they blew the door off with some kind of explosion, battering ram or magical force. You are showered in dirt and rock, coughing as it enters your nose and mouth, ears and eyes. The kobolds close their eyes and crawl forward blindly out of the mess, digging and scooping as they go. You follow after, not unfamiliar with blind crawls. You move as quickly as you can.

(15 again I would like to go on record and say that I have a witness to my rolls right now 😂)
@Aubrey Burmaster The tunnel suddenly ends. You scramble, grabbing a hold of a tree root off to the side to avoid tumbling down the steep side of a mountain. Tepid signals up ahead for the kobolds to keep quiet, leading you around a narrow path around the mountain. It will take a little time, but should help you avoid the troops up above.
@Aubrey Burmaster Tepid looks back at you, talking in a hushed growl. "We should be back within the hour... if all goes well. Others scouting out in the woods. Most digging. We heard the drums, and the explosion. Figured it was you."
Atriox curses
"Seems I just made the situation worse. This has definitely been a lesson and I've learned it alright. I need my armor and glaive urgently if a fight is coming
@Aubrey Burmaster Tepid shrugs, letting kobolds go in front of him and waits for Atriox. He pats him on the leg. "No problem. Means we get to kill them sooner. We don't mind that." He smirks.
You travel safely down the rest of the mountain despite the narrow, switchback trails the kobolds had made to rescue you. You know you're much too far ahead of the orcs for them to catch you now. Back in the forest, you rush along hoping to get to the clearing--or at least, a new one Tepid had arranged with Gogron.
